Laurel Gibson

Sr. B-Sci Associate

Laurel joins BEESY with over eight years of experience applying behavioral science to drive meaningful health behavior change. She has a strong background in conducting, evaluating, and communicating both quantitative and qualitative research across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Most recently, Laurel worked at the National Cancer Institute, where she led and collaborated on research initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for populations disproportionately affected by cancer. Her research spans academic, nonprofit, and government settings and has been supported by competitive fellowships from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. She regularly presents at conferences, publishes in peer-reviewed journals, and her work has been featured in major U.S. media outlets.

Laurel holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, an M.P.H. in Biostatistics and Epidemiologic Methods from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychological Sciences and Communication from the University of Connecticut.

Outside of work, Laurel enjoys reading, making homemade pasta, and traveling. She’s on a mission to visit all 63 U.S. national parks – and is nearly halfway there!
